Synopsis
A former police officer that became a taxi driver, Yajima leads a double life. During the day, he transports clients in the hope of earning enough to cover his daughter Maiko's hospital bills; at night he dons the mask of a professional assassin. Cold and calculating, Yajima commits murder after murder, but not only to earn money for his daughter. Through blood and violence, he also seems to want to free himself of the anger he feels towards the world. Sex, lies and brutality reign over in the city where this new demon assassin spreads his wings.
Background
During its serialization in 1977, this manga was titled "Taxi Driver". In the 3 volume tankoubon release by Houbunsha Comics in 1981, it underwent a title change, which is the current one: "Jigoku no Senki".
